For their first handbags collection for women, Stephane and Raphael draw inspiration in architecture but also in jewellery.
Baptizing their first collection LC.2, where the initials mean Labruyere Collection, our two designers make a wink to the famous LC2 chair designed in 1928 by the architect Le Corbusier. This timeless model has contributed to the history of design embodying the archetypal modern chair. The number 2, dear to the House, separated from initials by a point, reminds us of the union. The union of a father and his son, the union of architecture and fashion, the union of the same vision.Passionate by jewellery, LABRUYERE designers drawn inspiration from emerald carve. The structure and volumes of this carve, that they particularly love, seemed perfectly suited to the proportions of a handbag, revealing the architectural lines come from an environment dedicated to women.Such as the jeweller, LABRUYERE seeks to magnify the woman working and structuring the material in order to offer the product that will become essential to her daily life.
The number following « LC.2 » for each model’s name refers to the number of facets of the bag. Thus the model LC.2-26 alone counts no less than 26 faces.
